On July 11, 2020 I make a presentation, “How to Interact with the U.S. Asylum System? Research, Practice & Advocacy,” at a virtual forum organized by the African Cultural Alliance of North America, Inc. (ACANA). It is a nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia that serves African and Caribbean immigrants with petitions before the U.S. government, as well as with community integration. I was joined by Norman Matlock, who is the Counsel to ACANA. The event, which included various panel sessions and live performances, focused on the impacts of COVID-19.
